Also on display at QuiltCon 2015 were the Modern Quilt Guild‘s 2014 Quilts of the Month. Each month, members of the Modern Quilt Guild receive a free PDF quilt pattern designed by a fellow MQG member.
My apologies–somehow I came home without the month of June! But here are the rest of the months of 2014.
p.s. June–send me photos! 🙂
Now we have the Small Quilts category from the exhibitions from QuiltCon 2015, sponsored by Pinwheels. The award winners are at the end of the post. We are almost done with all the major QuiltCon 2015 categories. It is bit sad to move on from what has been an dizzying display of original quilts. However the next QuiltCon is less the a year away and this time it will be in Pasadena, California.
So enjoy the last few posts and we have a ton of other things cueing up to cover after all of this.
Enjoy spring!
We will cover the Piecing category, sponsored by Aurifil, in two parts since there are so many quilts. Remember that quilts for the QuiltCon competitions are accepted into the show first and then put into categories by the judges as part of the judging process. This group has so many interesting original compositions. The category winners will be shown at the end of Part 2 later this week.
Enjoy!
